Skyminder on credit information:

Skyminder is one of databases that we use in doing research on companies.

Obtaining business credit information outside the United States can be very challenging, time consuming and expensive. One reason for this is that there does not exist today a single go to source of information that can effectively cover more than a handful of countries. An information source may be strong in Europe but weak in Latin America. Global companies need to have access to multiple sources of information.

As an aggregator of business information sources, SkyMinder provides a portal through which our clients have access to more than 40 unique companies around the world. Collectively, they provide coverage in more than 230 countries. We are literally able to provide a freshly investigated report on any company in any country in the world for much less than the “traditional” providers. And SkyMinder offers a choice of providers in each country so that you are never  sole sourced.

With SkyMinder, there are no subscriptions. You do not need to estimate your information needs and purchase a number of reports in advance, potentially having to address a “use it or lose it” scenario. Penguin’s Elevator Speech

The Penguin Group has been in business for a number of years and has four different products:  First Look, Trade Show Followup, Market Sonar and Sherlock's Finders.

While all these services deal with different aspects of market research, it’s been hard for Penguin to find a way to explain that connection to potential customers.

For that reason we have begun a Marketing Exercise to try to find a common elevator speech that will resonate with any customer who might be interested in one of the Penguin products.

 Here are a few of the suggested speeches. We help you:

• Find out about your markets and customers without spending a fortune.
• Listen to your customers and study your markets.
• Fit your business to your customers and their needs.
• Identify and connect with your perfect customers.
• Find customers you didn't know would be interested in you.

Each of Penguin’s services helps businesses better understand and connect with their customers or prospects:

 Market Sonar: Voice of the Customer Calling. Allows companies to query current or potential customers with a predetermined script and collect their unbiased answers. 

Trade Show Followup:  Connect to all the people whose business cards were collected at a trade show. This is useful for vendors who collect fishbowls full of business cards or electronic entries from name tags. I’ve used this method for years as an attendee at conferences. Tip: It’s never too late to follow up.

First Look is a targeted service which focuses on companies who might be bought, sold or partnered with.  Its shortened multi-point due diligence report collects and reports many of the key details that are in very expensive full scale due diligence reports used in mergers and company sales.

Sherlock is a research service that focuses on finding unusual objects or services. It has been used to find such unusual items as a Ponzi schemer who disappeared with his clients’ money.
