Thank you all for the nice comments and phone calls. However, I am not the Ruth Balkin who is running for New York State Supreme Court Justice.

That person is Ruth C. Balkin (see the Legal of Women Voters site for Nassau County). She is apparently the Supervising Judge, Nassau County Family Court.

This message is not an endorsement of Ms. Balkin. It is just to clarify which Ruth Balkin is running for office.
